Tunel Salvátor – Štôlňa Salvátor
Among the monuments of Vyšná Boca’s mining past are numerous buried tunnels in the Starobocianská valley, piles, pitfalls, paths and other places. Some have information boards and at least you can look at them from the outside.
Enthusiasts of the Salvator Civic Association have excavated and transformed the 300-meter long Salvator tunnel – they want to open it to the public in 2018. Before entering the tunnel, there was even a forged dragon statue, which was donated and placed in front of the tunnel by the artistic blacksmith, Peter Trvalec – the iron dragon is supposed to symbolically protect his treasures.
